New Adventure

New Heacham signing Tyler Knowles says he wants to get back to 'enjoy playing football' after completing a move to the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division side.
The 20-year-old defender, who made 11 senior appearances for the Pilgrims in the National League North this season, but announced his departure from the Jakemans Community Stadium yesterday to pursue more regular first-team football.
Heacham were among several clubs chasing Knowles' signature.
After signing for the Magpies, Knowles said: "I decided it was time to move on from Boston and felt like now was the right time.
"I’ve had a great year and got some unreal experience at a level of football I’d never thought I’d be able to play at a couple of years ago so I can’t thank everyone there enough.
"Sometimes things are more important than the football and I just want to be happy and enjoying everything I’m doing again from now until the end of the season.
"My phone has been blowing up since I made the decision and I’m very grateful for those that have shown interest.
"Griggo rang me. It’s a club I know well and people who I know want the best for me and every other player that plays.
"I get on well with many of the lads so that helps. I know that by coming here I will enjoy it and get back to playing my best football.
"I feel like I can come here and help the lads, bringing my experience from playing games at Step Two and I'm excited to get going."
Knowles came through King’s Lynn’s Academy and captained the National League U19 Alliance team before making his first team debut.
The youngster has also had playing spells with Wisbech, March Town and Wroxham.
Heacham boss David Griggs is delighted to get the transfer of Knowles over the line.
Griggs said: "Tyler is a great addition to the squad and will surely give us a lift.
"He is a lovely lad who knows about the culture of Heacham as he was here for a spell a few years ago and it's brilliant that he's decided to return as i know he had a lot of others interested in him.
"I'm hoping to have another signing in the next day or so."
Knowles goes straight into the squad for today's trip to Mildenhall Town.
