Bungay Town V Heacham
Heacham kicked off their first ever season in senior football in fine style with a convincing away win at Bungay Town. With the game starting at a fast pace, it took time for the game to settle and for Heacham to find their rhythm. It took a pinpoint set piece from Brad Key to find skipper Ed Tann who made no mistake with a bullet header to put Heacham into the lead. Heacham then began to create more chances and when John Flannagan regained the ball high up the pitch and passed to Nathan Davies, who managed to slot it home, which was no more than we deserved. The quality of Brad key was shown again when he slotted a ball through to Nathan Davis again, as another set piece was fired home by John Flannagan this time, to put us 3-0 up at Half time.
The second half saw continuous Heacham dominance, with some excellent football and work from all. Another pinpoint Brad Key corner was again headed in by Skipper Ed Tann to make it 4-0. Heacham were now creating chance after chance and John Flannagan scored an excellent second goal to make it 5-0. Nathan Davies grabbed his second with a cool finish after a good bit of work from Ben Oliver and Nathan Daw. Bungay scored a late consolation but Heacham still managed a 7th with MoM John Flannagan scoring a great solo goal to complete his hattrick and to get the clubs first win at senior level football.
