Yelverton 0 – 3 Heacham
Heacham travelled to Yelverton where both teams were looking to keep their 100% winning start to the season. The first half saw many big tackles fly in as both teams tried to put their mark on the game. With not much pretty football being played, John Flanagan on the half hour mark, produced a moment of magic to give the visitors the lead. John Flanagan flicked the ball over 2 Yelverton defenders and volleyed in on the turn to leave the keeper stranded.
With the game still very much in the balance at half time. Heacham came out of the blocks strong when Nathan Daw took advantage of a keeping error to double the lead. The game was put to bed with a tenacious solo effort by Heacham forward Nathan Davies who scored his third of the season. The game was then seen out and a well-deserved clean sheet for Heacham back 4 and keeper was secured. A strong team performance from all the squad took home the three points and Heacham will look to go 4 from 4 when they host Thetford Rovers next week.
