Heacham FC made it three wins from three as they beat Wroxham Res 2-0 away to remain top of the Premier Division.
The travelling fans who made the trip witnessed a fantastic team performance, with a rocket from Nathan Davies and a late strike from Connor Young to seal the victory.
Heacham manager, David Griggs said; “It was a real battle at times, but I can’t remember our goalkeeper Sam Pishorn having a save to make.
“We totally dominated the second half but while it remained at 1-0 it was always a little bit edgy.
“To have maximum points from our opening three games is beyond our wildest dreams when you look at our opening three fixtures.
“Sam Lammimam was immense in the middle of the park, and he covered every blade of grass on the pitch.
“I’d also like to thank our great travelling support, we had between 30 and 40 supporters there to watch and it’s been great for them to have been part of our brilliant start.”
Heacham went into the game without three of their four strikers with the trio of Jack Defty, John Flanagan and Josh Winner all missing.
The Magpies moved Ben Coe up front and brought in Alex Clunan to play alongside him and Davies in a four three three formation.
The opening goal arrived after eight minutes when Matt Goss played a lovely ball out wide to Davies who smashed home a first time volley.
Heacham dominated the early stages of the second half, having two efforts cleared off the line and the home goalkeeper pulling off an outstanding save to keep the score at 1-0.
The visitors had to wait until five minutes from time to add a second with substitute Connor Young punishing a mistake from the home goalkeeper to slot home.
Substitute Callum Howe, 16, in midfield belied his tender years with an impressive cameo on the pitch.
The only downside was Sam Lammiman picking up a knock after a stellar performance in the middle of the park which earned him the man of the match award.
