Anglian Combination leaders Heacham made sure there was no complacency on their part as they picked up a resounding victory over basement boys Thorpe St Andrew.
The Magpies dominated from start to finish at Station Road as they extended their lead to seven points at the top of the table.
Goals came from man-of-the-match Alex Clunan (3), Nathan Davies (3), John Flanagan (2), Ben Coe, Royce Rawlings and Josh Winner as Heacham found the back of the net 11 times without reply.
Manager David Griggs said: "Every season you see a team at the top of the table get beaten by one near the bottom, but we made sure it wasn't us and got the job done.
"Even going in 7-0 ahead at the break, we didn't take our foot off the gas in the second half. If it hadn't been for their goalkeeper we could have won by a lot more, he pulled off some outstanding saves.
"We made three substitutions at the break so we able to protect the players who were carrying slight niggles and get 45 minutes into others like 16-year-old Callum Howe."
