HISTORY
Established 1907
The club was founded in 1907 and began playing in the Hunstanton District League, which later became the North-West Norfolk League.
In the 1960s and 1970s, the club experienced a period of success, fielding four teams during that time.
The club has participated in various charity competitions, including The Fermoy Cup, The Beloe Cup, The Mallet Cup, and the Sheringham Cup.
During the 1970s, player Colin Garwood represented the club before moving on to play for Peterborough, Oldham, Huddersfield, and Colchester.
In 2016, David Griggs and Mel Barr joined as managers from AMA Kings Lynn, bringing new players to the team. That year, the club was promoted to the Anglian Combination Division Five, marking its highest level of competition at that time.
In their first Anglian Combination season, the club finished second and was promoted to Division Four. In Division Four, they finished third and secured a further promotion. The following season, Ross McNeil joined as joint assistant manager.
The club competed in Division Three, winning the title and earning promotion to Division Two, and received two “Team of the Month” awards.
The club reached the semi-final of the Norfolk Junior Cup but was eliminated by Gorleston Reserves on penalties, marking its deepest run in that competition.
In June 2019, the club completed a new 3G area, funded and built by its youth section. In April 2019, the club reached the final of the Cyrill Bayllyn Cup against Loddon, winning 4-2 after extra time.
In October 2020, the club played another Cyrill Bayllyn Cup final against Loddon, losing 3-1 in extra time.
During the 2020-21 season, Heacham won the Anglian Combination Division League 1 and gained promotion to the Premiership Division, achieving nine wins and one loss in ten games.
In the 2021-22 season, Heacham won the Anglian Combination Premier League with seventy-five points over thirty games (twenty-four wins, three draws, three losses).
This led to advancement to the Thurlow Nunn League for the first time.
In 2022-23, Heacham competed in the Northern Division of the Thurlow Nunn League and secured promotion again, with a record of twenty-five wins, four draws, and five losses in thirty-six games.
For the 2023-24 season, Heacham played in the Eastern Counties’ Premiership division, finishing 18th.
Following this season, manager David Griggs and his coaching staff departed, stating they had taken the club as far as possible.
The club subsequently appointed Paul Hunt as manager, with Royce Rawlings joining as a member of the coaching staff.
At the start of the 2024-25 season, the club introduced an under-18 team (competing in the Thurlow Nunn Under-18 League) and a reserve team in Anglian Combination Division 4 North.
This season, the first team finished 15th, the reserve team finished as runners-up and gained promotion to Division 3 North, and the under-18 team completed their season in their division.
