At the time of writing this article the first team sit proudly at the top of the Thurlow Nunn Division 1 North League. The chasing pack do have games in hand but having points already "on the board" leaves the Magpies in a strong position.

Diss Town home - drew 1-1
AFC Sudbury Res home - won 4-1
Holbeach United away - drew 1-1
Cornard United away - won 4-1
Huntingdon Town home - won 4-1
Downham Town away - lost 1-2
Harwich & Parkeston away - won 3-1

The first team have also progressed into the 3rd roind of the League Cup after a very convincing 3-0 win away at Swaffham Town. They now travel to Premier league side Mulbarton Wanderers in the next round, with the game being played on Saturday 19th November k.o. 3pm.
In the Norfolk Senior Cup the team have been drawn away to Norwich United, with the game to be played on Tuesday 15th November k.o. 7.45pm.

The Reserves season is now fully up and running after a slow start with regard to fixtures. They currently sit in 5th place in the North West Norfolk Div 1 league but have games in hand on the teams above them. Recent results have been as follows:-

Refley Youth away - lost 3-6
Marshland Saints away - won 2-1
The Reserves have also progressed in the Norfolk Junior Cup with an excellent home win (played in Kings Lynn) against Scrublands 5-2. They now go to play Caister Res in the next round on Saturday 22nd October k.o.2.30.

"100 Club" & "Free Raffle" results:-

The latest winner for October's "100 Club" was Ady Day (no.98) - congratulations Ady who wins £50.
The November draw will take place in the Heacham Social Club after the home 1st team game v Whittlesey Athletic on 12th November.
The next "free raffle" for members will
be taking place at half time during the 1st team match v Leiston Res on Saturday 22nd October and the list of winners and prizes will be in next month's issue of the Newsletter.

"100 CLUB" Relaunch for 2023

The "100 CLUB" is going to change its name to "The 50/50 Draw" for next year. This will give the opportunity to increase the number of participants (ie no limit on the numbers sold). The cost will remain the same at £12 per number for the year (equates to only £1/month) and full payment for the year is required and can be paid by cash or by bank transfer. The number of prizes per month will be increased to 2 per month.
The size of the "prize pot" will depend on how many numbers are sold e.g.
100 numbers sold will gives a £35 and £15 prize each month. If 80 numbers sold then prizes would be £30 and £10 month etc etc. All numbers are entered into every monthly draw.
