Although the away form continues to be disappointing (2 heavy defeats and a narrow defeat at Mulbarton) the home form has seen two outstanding victories. The first victory of the season against Gt Yarmouth saw a battling performance and some unbelievable defending to clinch the win. This was followed by another home win against a very good team in Ipswich Wanderers. Although the team still finds itself in the relegation zone, going forward the confidence is high and the next two home games (Cornard and Lakenheath) will see the opportunity to continue the good home form. Attention in the next few weeks turns to Cup competitions, the Norfolk Senior Cup (home v Gt Yarmouth) and the League Cup (away at Fakenham). A report on both games will appear in the next issue of the Newsletter.

The team currently sits in the middle of the table but with games in hand on some or our opponents. Only two league matches played since last month, with one win and one defeat and one game unfortunately postponed. In the Norfolk Junior Cup the team put up a brave performance against SWFC Lingwood ( who currently sit in second place in Division 2) only to lose by a single goal.

U18’s TEAM (playing in The Thurlow Nunn Youth Football League - West
Division).

The team were victorious in their next F.A. Youth Cup match against Bury Town. After racing into a 3 nil lead the visitors hit back to force the game to penalties. Heacham held their nerve to win the shootout and then welcomed AFC Sudbury at home in the next round. However, our run in this year's FA Youth Cup game to an end against a very good side but the team can be very proud to have progressed to the 2nd qualifying round. In the league there has been very little action with just one game played against one of the title favourites in Deeping Rangers, which resulted in 1-5 defeat.

The November draw will take place on Saturday 1st November after the home game v Lakenheath, in the Sports & Social Club.

The 2026 “50/50 Club”

The intention is to run the “50/50 Club” again next year. The format will be the same as this year and full details will be available mid November via our facebook page and leaflets will be distributed at home games and around the village. The cost for the complete year will again be £13 per number and you will be able to purchase as many numbers as you want. To clarify that any numbers you purchase will be included in every monthly draw, so you could win more than once throughout the year.
Note: Prize money will be determined by how many numbers are sold (prize money this year was based on 156 numbers being sold).

Supporters Club News

Membership for this season has now reached 242 and the facebook followers has now reached 966. This is fantastic news and certainly will allow the Supporters Club to continue supporting Heacham F.C.
