Also good to announce that Walking Football is back on Wednesdays (2-3pm) weather permitting on the Astroturf. Cost £3.00 a session and correct footwear must be worn. If you require any more information then please contact Debs on 07506887545.
It has also been a very successful time behind the scenes and i am pleased to say that the Heacham F C Supporters Club Facebook page has now passed our target of 300 followers but more exciting has been the Supporters Club Memberships. We set a target of 150 [bearing in mind last season was 112] and we now are within a few of hitting that number - thank you to everyone who has supported the Supporters Club. Because of this success, the Supporters Club have set up a Player Welfare Fund, which will be able to offer financial help to a player, if he gets injured playing for Heacham, which results in him being unable to work and results in loss of earnings.
The Supporters Club are about to launch the "100 Club" [50/50 draw] at the end of October/early November. This will be a chance to win £50/month starting January and every month until the end of the year. For only £12 per number (that is £1/month) you can choose a number(s) and every month one lucky winner will win £50 (providing all numbers sold). Full details can be found on the Heacham F C Supporters Club Facebook page.
The range of merchandise is proving to be very popular, so please pop down on 1st team match days, ask for Carol or Paul and they will be able to help you. There is plenty of choice and some good stocking fillers with Christmas just around the corner!
Finally i would like to pay tribute (on behalf of the both the Football Club & the Supporters Clubs) to "Mr Heacham" i,e, our very own David Page, Chairman of Heacham F. C.
David has been involved with the club for more than six decades of his life (not all playing!) and this was recognised by the Norfolk FA at their awards night earlier this month were, accompanied by his wife Lydia, he collected his very own trophy - 25 Year Volunteer Award for services to Heacham F C. David works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure everything is in place ready for match days and this award was long overdue. Thank you "Mr Heacham" for all your hard work.
If you would like to sponsor, make a donation or just require information regarding Heacham F C or Heacham F C Supporters Club, then please contact me via e-mail :- deniscooper06@aol.com and if i am unable to help you i will put you in touch with somebody who can.
