Heacham have been crowned Champions of the Thurlow Nunn North Division 1 after a resounding 9-1 home win v Haverhill Borough on the last home game of the season. With rivals Downham only drawing at home v Framlingham on the final day it meant that the Magpies finished 4 points clear of their nearest rivals. The foundation was laid when the Magpies won their game in hand with a hard fought 2-1 away win v Leiston Res a few days earlier. This was the team's record breaking eighth consecutive promotion and apart from being acknowledged in the local press, the team was also featured on About Anglia T.V. and also made the national Non League Sunday paper. The team can now look forward to playing in The Thurlow Nunn Premier Division next season (step 5), which will be the highest level they have achieved in their history.

"YOUR LOCAL PAPER"

The Team attended your "Local Hero Awards", at the King's Lynn Alive Corn Exchange a few days later after winning the league and scooped another award. They won "Sportsperson/Team of the Year", which was great testament to not only the players but also to everyone connected with the Club.

The Reserves, despite all the problems with player availability in recent weeks, finished in a respectable 3rd place in the North West Norfolk Division 1 League. Like the first team they finished the season in style, with a 3-1 home win against West Winch William Burt F.C. First.

End of Season Presentation Evening

This took place on Saturday 20th May but unfortunately the results of the awards were not in time for the deadline for this article. All award winners will be listed in next month’s Newsletter.

There are various options / sizes available, all prices are for the entire season

Prices start from £40 for a ⅛ black and white, whilst the premium full page colour is priced at £200

Player Sponsorship

We are delighted to announce revised pricing for sponsorship of a player for the new season.

We acknowledge the current economic climate makes it difficult for people to get involved with the club (sponsorship etc), and whilst the vast majority of players did have a sponsor last season, we also take on board that £150 was possibly “out of reach” for some of our valued supporters.

So next season you can get involved and sponsor a player for the massively reduced price of £75 for the entire season!

In return:

Your name to feature in the matchday programme , alongside a picture of your player

Invitation to the End of season presentation evening, where you will be presented with the shirt(s) of your respective player(s)

Those player’s sponsors from last season, will have first choice of their respective player(s) for this season.

We need to wait until we know how many teams will be in our division.
Last season we had 18 home league games, whilst those teams in the Premier Division had 19.

As soon as the number of teams are confirmed, we will confirm accordingly.
